EveryBlock Redefines Hyper-Local News
I'll admit it. I'm jealous of Adrian Holovaty. Not only has he done great work at Washingtonpost.com and Lawrence.com, but now he's gone and redefined hyper-local coverage with his latest project, EveryBlock.EveryBlock aggregates civic data, pictures, reviews and other scattered bits and repurposes them into a mashed-up, user-friendly information hub. The site currently serves Chicago, New York and San Francisco, but it's only a matter of time before the same technique is applied to other metropolitan areas (I'd love to see the Boston version).
Congratulations to Adrian and the EveryBlock team. I hate you all ;)
