Uhhh, Drudge Gets 500 Million Visitors a Month?
This has to be a typo, right? In USA Today's Things that Changed the World feature, the World Wide Web entry contains this jaw-dropping paragraph:
Matt Drudge’s news site helped break the Monica Lewinsky story in 1998, paving the way for politically-minded bloggers everywhere. He claims to have about 500 million visitors a month.500 million? A month? McDonald's doesn't get that.
Valley Wag recently called out the Drudge Report's "refresh" rate:
"At 20 times an hour, Drudge is twice as aggressive in his use of this tactic as the next news site we checked."Ahh. Gotcha.
