Google Aggregates Content Types with Universal Search

Google's new Universal Search tool takes a one-stop-shopping approach to queries, blending text-based search results, related images (via Google Images), news results (via Google News), YouTube videos and related search terms. Universal Search is integrated into Google's traditional search; there isn't a special "Universal" page or wacky logo.
"With universal search, we're attempting to break down the walls that traditionally separated our various search properties and integrate the vast amounts of information available into one simple set of search results," writes Marissa Mayer, Google VP of search products and user experience.
