Is Twitter the Perfect Live Blogging Tool?

Update 4/14 The exec producer of Fox's new show "Drive" is Twittering the show's premiere.

I've toyed with live blogging in the past but always found the process a little clunky. The write-post-write-post method doesn't lend itself to creativity, especially if you're like me and require a nice deep writing groove.

But now, there's Twitter.

The upstart Web "thing" (app? Web site?) is attracting droves of users who drop in to post micro-bursts of information. I didn't initially see any practical use for Twitter, but a recent Twitter-based gamecast for a Red Sox vs. Mariners game showed me the app's live-blogging potential. Using Twitter, folks could easily live-blog conferences, games, TV shows -- anything.

I might give it a whirl for a future "Lost" live-blogging session.
