Squidoo: Grassroots Publicity Tool
Beyond a cool name and an even cooler logo, Squidoo provides "experts" with the tools they need to promote their content of choice.
In the world of Squidoo, everyone is an expert on something -- all you need to do to verify your expert credentials is to create a Squidoo "lens" and add content through a variety of modules. You can create as many lenses as you like -- and they don't need to be related. For example, I've created lenses for Blogging and Independent Web Publishing and for the TV show "Lost." (How's that for eclectic?)
From a publicity standpoint, my favorite Squidoo features is the RSS module. This slick little add-on is a godsend because it automatically publishes feeds from your sites. Better still, the feeds update on their own, so your Squidoo lens will always be fresh even if you don't visit it every day. All you need to do is publish!
