Netscape: Grassroots Publicity Tool
Digg users will find striking similarities in Netscape's new functionality, but the Digg vs. Netscape debate is well beyond the scope of this post.
From a publicity standpoint, Netscape's Digg-like system offers publishers another opportunity to post their content and garner attention. Netscape's coverage is broader than Digg's, so folks who find Digg constraining might discover a publicity panacea in Netscape's sandbox.
Currently, I haven't found a way to streamline the Netscape submission process, so for the time being I do it the old fashion way: sign in and submit stories manually.
Note: If you don't mind clutter in your nav bar (I'm not a fan), you can submit to Netscape through a submission bookmarklet.
