Fodder Thoughts: Dirty Details about the Blog Business
I've been building The Fodder Network for the past year, and over that time my experiences have been all over the map. In many ways, I'm pleased with the development of my blog network, but I also have a high degree of frustration. For the sake of my sanity -- and, more importantly, to begin an open dialogue with other blog business folks -- I've decided to lay my thoughts out for all to see.In traditional business, this would be suicide. "But what about the secrets?" the pundits would cry. "What about the trade information? What about all that nitty gritty business data?"
Yeah, well, that stuff is a crock. Truth is, I don't have business secrets or trade information or business data. What I do have are opinions and experiences and ideas (lots and lots of ideas), and these things are way more interesting than the nebulous business stuff.
So, with this in mind, I'm launching a new series here on the Indiepub Blog. It's titled "Fodder Thoughts," and I plan on using it to discuss the business stuff that's percolating in my head. In addition to my own ramblings, Fodder Thoughts is also an open forum for discussion on blog business topics. If you've got something to say in that regard, feel free! -- Mac
