Introducing The Fodder Network

September 15, 2005 10:11 AM Posted by mac

I spent the summer plotting a new endeavor and now I'm ready to take the wraps off my latest pursuit. Ladies and gentlemen, I present The Fodder Network.

So what is this thing? The Fodder Network is a collection of interesting blogs written by interesting people. It's ever-expanding and ever-changing. It's also a way for bloggers/writers/small-publishers to make money while creating the content they love.

The idea for The Fodder Network has been percolating in my brain for five years. I launched my first site, filmfodder, in March 2000, and since then I've always entertained the thought of spinning off other sites. This idea finally came to fruition when I discovered the business potential of independent Web publishing. Over the summer I recruited a number of bloggers to give the idea a whirl, and the results have been very encouraging.

Now I'm looking to take it to the next level, and I need excellent bloggers to make it happen. If you're passionate about a topic -- any topic -- but don't want to deal with the technical and business hassles of independent publishing, this could be an excellent relationship. One last thing -- and it's the big one -- this is a business, not a hobby. A primary goal is to make money, both for The Fodder Network and for the esteemed contributors within the network.

Interested? Drop me a line. -- Mac Slocum
